CEBU City Mayor Michael Rama is on leave again for the second time in less than a month, this time to attend a three-day summit in Australia representing the League of Cities of the Philippines as its president, with the aim of attracting investments from foreign investors.Rama is attending the 2023 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum in Brisbane, Australia. The event will start on Wednesday, Oct. 11 and end on Friday, Oct.
Rama said he will not be alone in the APC Summit as Caloocan City Mayor Dale Malapitan, Dagupan City Mayor Leo de Vera, and Digos City Mayor Josef Cagas, among others, will be joining him.During Rama’s official leave, Vice Mayor Garcia will serve as the acting mayor.Other travelsAside from his Russian trip, Rama left for Los Angeles, California on Aug. 15 to receive a lifetime achievement award on Aug. 20. He was with his wife, Malou, and their son.
