FOR the third straight year, Adamson University is trying to make it to the UAAP men's basketball semifinals through a playoff for the number four spot. The Soaring Falcons topped the Ateneo Blue Eagles 69-55 at the FilOil EcoOil Center on Saturday to rise to 6-8 and forge a tie with the University of the East Red Warriors at No. 4.For the third consecutive season, Adamson will play a playoff for the last Final Four berth.

Had they won the game, the Soaring Falcons would have had a better chance of clinching an outright semis berth. But it is what it is and the boys from San Marcelino stuck together and was lucky that UE lost its last elimination round game against University of the Philippines 67-77 on Nov. 20.That game gave Adamson a second wind and made the most out of it by defeating Ateneo. The Falcons and the Red Warriors will clash on Nov. 27 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
