International Master Master Daniel Quizon and Alexis Emil Maribao powered the Dasma Cavite Spartans to a 12.5-8.5 victory over the International Master Kim Steven Yap-led Toledo-Xignex Trojans in a clash of the league titans in the PCAP All-Filipino Conference Wednesday night, April 24.
Quizon , the reigning National Open champion, scored victories against Allan Pason in the blitz event and International Master Joel Pimentel in the rapid event while Maribao toppled Bonn Rainauld Tibod in their blitz showdown and Pason in rapid play to help propel the Spartans to solo second place with a 14-2 win-loss record in the Northern Division.'I am happy with my performance tonight,' said the 20-year-old Quizon .
