Pictures and video of cars being damaged allegedly after being stoned by an unknown rock-thrower on an isolated stretch of road near Bentong have gone viral on social media. Is there someone stoning cars near Bentong? Find out below.
According to a statement released by the Bentong district police headquarters, they are actively looking for suspects in the case.
This was after several pictures and videos were posted online that showed rocks being thrown at moving cars on the roads at Mempaga, Lurah Bilut and Bentong, Pahang. "We have received two police reports so far," said Bentong OCPD Supt Zaiham Mohd Kahar in the statement. "We are working together with the residents of Felda Mempaga and Kampung Rancangan Tanah Pemuda, Lebu to conduct patrols to identify the suspects,' he added.
Zaiham also advised the public to be careful when driving in the areas concerned and urged anyone with information regarding the case to contact IPD Bentong at 019-222 2222 or at any nearby police station.
