A MESSAGE has gone viral claiming that entrepreneurs, educators, housewives, clerks, and self-employed individuals are eligible for a government grant of RM2,500. Is this true?
The information claimed that eligible individuals could obtain a non-repayable grant of up to RM2,500 as part of a government assistance programme for 2023.
In a statement on Facebook, the Finance Ministry said no such grant was being offered. It urged the public to exercise caution and refrain from being easily misled by such deceptive news.
