IT would be logical to think that any announcement of cash aid would spread like wildfire online, especially if it seems to come from the government.
Recently, a message went viral claiming that the government would be releasing one-off RM500 cash aid to Malaysians.
In a statement on its official Facebook account, the Finance Ministry denied that the government would be giving one-off cash aid of RM500 to all Malaysians as claimed online."Follow the Finance Ministry's official channels and check that the web addresses are valid and correct," it added.
