Quezon City COVID19 cases climb to 2,452
MANILA – The number of COVID-19 cases in Quezon City surged to 2,452 on Tuesday, official figures from the Department of Health showed.
In its latest bulletin, the city government said 38 more patients survived from the respiratory illness, taking the total number of recoveries to 1,179. The fatality toll stood at 197. The city government also revealed that the number of coronavirus cases with complete addresses in Quezon City is 2,354.
Of this number, the Quezon City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and district health offices has validated 2,285 cases. Some 909 coronavirus infections were considered active cases. Barangay Batasan Hills still had the most COVID-19 cases with 108, followed by Culiat with 100 and Bahay Toro with 93. The city government has placed certain areas under a 14-day special concern lockdown due to high number of COVID-19 cases. They were Sitio Militar in Bahay Toro, Calle 29 in Libis and Homart Road in Baesa.
