The local government of Quezon City is building an elevated landscaped promenade on Elliptical Road to connect Quezon Memorial Circle and the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center. The structure will have separate bike lanes and pedestrian walkways, making it bike-friendly and pedestrian-friendly. Construction began during Holy Week, and the completion date has not been announced yet.
Have you been wondering about the structure currently being constructed on Elliptical Road in Quezon City ? It’s another green initiative of the local government: an elevated landscaped promenade that will serve as a pedestrian- and bike-friendly structure connecting Quezon Memorial Circle and the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center.
Unlike your typical footbridge, the new structure is much wider, allowing for separate bike lanes and pedestrian walkways. The renderings show what appear to be ramps on either end; if this is the final design, then cyclists will be able to ride their bikes up and down. There are also seats in the elevated portion for those wanting to take a break.
