At least 12 wanted persons and 13 illegal gamblers were arrested in the latest anti-criminality operations conducted by different units and police stations in Quezon City.
Arrested were Charlie Azarce, 33, a resident of Bacoor, Cavite, for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002; Renz Balana, 33, a resident of Quezon City, also for RA 9165; and Luis Levantino, 27, a resident of Quezon City, for violation of R.A.
Police also apprehended Ruben Arpia, 62, a resident of Quezon City, for Violation of R.A. 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act; Mitchell Hernandez Zamora, 34, a resident of Quezon City, for estafa; Jeffrey Velasco Pobre, 43, a resident of Antipolo City, for qualified theft; David Lino Balanon, 42, a resident of Quezon City, for Violation of P.D.
In an operation against illegal gambling, police arrested Christian Reinier Reyes, 18, a resident of Quezon City; Alberto Cancino, 18, a resident of Quezon City; Paterno Matias, 52, a resident of Sampaloc, Manila; Cezar Reyes, 44, a resident of Brgy. Paang Bundok; Renie Dayag, 46, a resident of Solana, Cagayan; Saldy Lucena, 31; Armin Calprito, 30; Sian Benzon Sabuya, 34; Reynaldo Lucena, 36; and Renz Mendoza, 40, all residents of Brgy. Baesa, Quezon City; and a 14 year-old-female.
Also arrested were Paolo Manzo Dellamas, 23, a resident of Quezon City, and Jefferson Salvador Cueto, 22, a resident of Caloocan City.The arrested suspects will be charged with violation of P.D. 1602 or Anti-Illegal Gambling.
