The malachite green marble base of a replica of the FIFA World Cup trophy, for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Trophy, is pictured at the Italian trophy and medal manufacturer GDE Bertoni in Paderno Dugnano, north of Milan. While the original 18 carat gold trophy made by Italian artist Silvio Gazzaniga belongs to FIFA and is rarely exhibited, the GDE Bertoni factory is still tasked with producing brass gold-plated replicas of the trophy every four years for the winning team.

Reiche said “it is a rare one among where it is not prosecuted” and added that “it remains to be seen whether Qatar will follow Singapore’s lead in decriminalising same sex relationships”.Sitting in a cafe in the Souq Waqif tourist district, Yasmian Ghanem, a member of Qatar’s golf team, said “supporters are going to have a lot of fun” in the state.After so much spending many are desperate to see the host nation at least get past the group stage.
