Philippine Sports Commission chairman Richard Bachmann and Puerto Princesa City Mayor Lucilo Bayron lead the opening unveiling of sports expo PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan– After a six-year break, the BIMP-EAGA Friendship Games returns with a renewed spirit, uniting athletes from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines in a celebration of sportsmanship and camaraderie.
Beyond the competition, the Games aim to strengthen regional cooperation and economic development through sports. The nation faces fierce competition from its neighbors, including reigning champion Malaysia, as they compete in eight events: archery, athletics, badminton, esports, karate, pencak silat, sepak takraw, and swimming.
