There were fewer births and death registered from January to September 2022 compared to the data in the same period last year, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority .From January to September 2022, the number of registered births reached 783,199.Calabarzon reported the highest number of registered births at 118,919 or 15.2% of the total births in the country.

Calabarzon topped the regions with the highest number of registered deaths from January to September 2022 at 63,617 or 15.2% of the total deaths in the country. Among the provinces, Cavite reported the highest number of registered deaths at 15,974 or 3.8% of the total deaths in the country.MarriagesWith the same cut-off date in processing the birth certificates, the PSA said its preliminary count is higher by 13.1% than the total registered marriages of 253,426 in the same period in 2021.
