Starting December 20, 2024, provincial buses will be permitted to use EDSA for limited hours leading up to full 24-hour access from December 26, 2024, to January 2, 2025. The move is aimed at handling the expected surge in travelers during the Christmas season. Additionally, the LTFRB has opened applications for special permits for public utility vehicles (PUVs) to ease travel.
Provincial buses will be permitted to use EDSA from December 20, 2024, for limited hours and from December 26, 2024, until January 2, 2025, for full 24-hour access, said the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority ( MMDA ) on Friday. The measure aims to accommodate more passengers during the Christmas season.
Meanwhile, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has opened applications for special permits for public utility vehicles (PUVs), including TNVS and PUBs, to ensure smoother travel during the holiday period
