Probe continues into attack at George’s Pub in Thornhill: RCMP

Police continue to investigate an alleged Nov. 26 assault at George’s Pub in Thornhill that resulted in injuries to a local woman. Witnesses reported one woman attacking the other with a glass cup or mug to the face after an argument broke out.

Amid “mud being slung at police for their response” with some public speculation as to whether police would have acted more quickly if the suspect were non-white, Kates said it’s “very standard to have a number of tasks that need to get taken care of” before forwarding charge recommendations to the B.C. Prosecutions Service.
