Julienne Baronda said officials from the NBI visited her and provided information on the alleged illegal operations of the Chinese in the city.The lawmaker, however, did not give additional details.
He emphasized that their intelligence department is actively coordinating with the Bureau of Immigration and the Department of Tourism for record checks and monitoring of illegal immigrants in the city.'Unfortunately, the BI, by reason of privacy, they are not giving us their records,' he added.Baronda also asked the Department of Justice to investigate the reported increase of Chinese nationals occupying private properties in subdivisions in the city.
