Third time is a charm indeed, for Terrafirma.
After two narrow losses to Magnolia and Converge, Terrafirma finally nailed its first victory for the PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup on Thursday.Thanks to veteran guard Stanley Pringle , the banged-up Dyip claimed a big fish after knocking down the streaking TNT Tropang Giga, 84-72.At 37, Pringle admitted he Is already feeling the pains on his knees after the game but the will to help his team register the breakthrough victory kept him on the go.
'My knee just packing up little bit after playing back-to-back games, so I asked coach to sit out for awhile,' said Pringle, who finished with 18 points.The former top overall pick, however, refused to claim the credit for the win, noting how everyone else contributed for the Dyip, who finally beat TNT after losing its last 19 meetings. 'The guys stepped up, played hard in the end and we got the win,' said the Filipino-American guard.
