That’s got the SaltWire Network wondering about what will happen to the property located right in the centre of Corner Brook’s townsite area. Doug Sheppard, co-owner of Cornerstone Holdings Inc., thinks it would be wise for the city and province to give consideration to the demolition of the building and re-purpose the area.

“I know people will say more housing for seniors, and that certainly is the current population, but frankly if Corner Brook is to grow, we need industry,” she said.
