The Panthers, who have played one fewer game than the Huskies, are 15-7-1-1 . Saint Mary’s, coming off a 4-1 road win over the Acadia Axemen on Jan. 25, is 16-9-0-0.“Acadia beat us a couple weeks ago and since Christmas they've been playing their best hockey and they're kind of really hitting their stride here right now and they're moving up the standings,” said Panthers head coach Forbie MacPherson.
“We only play 30 games a year, so once you get to the six to 10 games left, it seems the playoffs are already in swing. We are in full swing and basically in playoff mode.”MacPherson said, other than some nagging issues, the Panthers expect to have everybody available this week. Brassard and forward TJ Shea will be back in the lineup after winning a gold medal with Team Canada at the FISU Winter World University Games in Lake Placid, N.Y.
