President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has vetoed nearly P200 billion from the 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA). The President removed P194 billion from the P6.352-trillion budget, which was approved by Congress, citing inconsistencies with his administration's priorities. The vetoed items include allocations for the Department of Public Works and Highways ( DPWH ) and unprogrammed appropriations, which increased by 300 percent. Executive Secretary Lucas P.
