MANILA, Philippines: The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) has implemented a 'No Leave Policy' from October 25 to November 8, 2023, to handle more than 1.4 million expected passengers during Undas and the long weekend.

PPA General Manager Jay Santiago prohibited PPA personnel from taking leave during this crucial period, as he expected the surge in passenger traffic. 'As the lead agency for passenger operations at PPA-managed ports, we are responsible for ensuring safe, convenient, and responsive sea travel during the Undas and long weekend, which is why we've implemented this No Leave Policy,' Santiago said.

It also significantly surpasses the over 500,000 passengers recorded during the same period in 2020.Among the ports with the highest number of passengers recorded in 2022 include Iloilo, Batangas, Babak Port in Davao, Dumangas Port in Panay Island, and the ports in Negros Occidental.
