PPA General Manager Jay Daniel Santiago emphasized the agency's alignment with the national strategy against illegal drugs.Since January 2024, PPA port police have intercepted drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine and marijuana in several ports, including Lucena, Masbate, Ozamiz, Jordan and Zamboanga.
from PPAThe seized drugs and suspects were handed to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the PNP Maritime for investigation.'We have not stopped supporting the government's anti-drug campaign, and we work closely with agencies like the PDEA,' said Santiago.PPA also conducts random drug tests on its personnel to uphold the 'Drug-Free Workplace Policy' in collaboration with the PDEA and under regulatory standards.
