Combustion engined Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman will end production in 2025
Many carmakers have already pulled back on their EV plans to develop hybrids, but Porsche seems to still believe full electric is the way to go.. Now it’s been confirmed – 2025 will be the final year for the ICE versions of the Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman .. The combustion-engined 718s have been in production since 2016. And while the mid-engined Porsche twins are still selling well globally, Reimold says it is time to open up space in Porsche ’s lineup to introduce their electric successors.
Speaking of which, Reimold says the electric 718s will still be as fun as their combustion engine counterparts.
