The average retail prices of pork increased in April, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said.
The cost of pork with bones went up by P3 to P25 per kilo, as observed in eight trading centers during the April 15 to 17 period.However, the average retail price of pork declined by P10 in Cebu City and Butuan City in the same period.The price of rice also went up in four trading centers by P0.11 to P2.90 per kilo. However, prices went down by P0.05 in Legazpi City and by P3.25 in Tuguegarao City during the period.
As of April 29, a kilo of red onions cost P140 to P180, while a kilo of white onions can be bought for P150 to P200 in the National Capital Region.The retail prices of calamansi also increased by P2.50 to P20 per kilo in seven trading centers during the period April 15 to 17. The average retail price of the product went down by P2 in NCR and by P14.50 in Baguio City during the period.The cost of galunggong decreased by P4.
