A new poll by Keep Toronto Moving finds 63% of Torontonians want the next mayor to evaluate bike lanes.

“Torontonians want action from the new mayor on transportation solutions that work for everyone,” KTM founder Trevor Townsend said in a statement. “The status quo is not working. Torontonians want smart and fair solutions to congestion.” KTM is calling for mayoral candidates and council to agree to remove the dedicated bike lanes on major arterial roads, including Bloor St. and Bloor Street West Village , Danforth Ave., Eglinton Ave. , Sheppard Ave. , University Ave. and Yonge St.Article content

“We believe a rethink of our bike lane policy can help everyone in Toronto,” said Townsend. “Bad bike lane policies bring congestion to residential streets and reduce emergency vehicle response times.”
