The cops entered the house and tried to pacify Serrano. But instead of heeding the plea, the suspect stabbed two of the cops, who were able to evade the attack.
Another policeman, Staff Sergeant Catolos, drew his service firearm and shot Serrano on his left chest and arm.Serrano, who is under hospital arrest, is facing criminal charges.
