Man died following an incident in centre city area

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating the suspicious death of a 22-year-old man in St. John’s on Tuesday, Feb. 7. RNC officers responded to a call in the area of Mayor Avenue and Newton Road to a report of an injured man in distress around 5 p.m. On arrival, officers found the man who had serious life-threatening injuries and paramedics and police on the scene started life-saving measures.Police are treating the death as suspicious and are investigating the incident. RNC is working with the chief medical examiner's office to determine the cause of the death.
