Kings District RCMP is requesting information from the public regarding two incidents of mischief on Highway 1 in Aylesford on Sunday, Jan. 29. FileAYLESFORD, N.S. — Police are investigating two mischief incidents after tombstones were overturned at a graveyard and a Ukrainian flag was town down from a church property in Aylesford on Sunday.

RCMP responded to a report of overturned tombstones at a graveyard on Highway 1, where it was reported to officers that it was the second time the headstones in the graveyard had been tampered with. On the same day, it was reported that someone had ripped down a Ukrainian flag displayed on a church property also on Highway 1.

RCMP is investigating the incidents as mischief but said officers are mindful the incidents could be hateful in nature.Police ask anyone with information about the incidents to contact the Kings District RCMP at 902-765-3317 or tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
