MANILA, Philippines: TNT's sweet-shooting gunner Roger Pogoy is taking the spot of Phoenix playmaker Tyler Tio, who is out with an injured ankle.Tio is expected to be out for at least a month due to a grade 2 ankle sprain he sustained in Phoenix's 120-124 loss to NorthPort on March 8.The 31-year-old Pogoy will be making his fifth All-Star appearance since entering the pro league as part of the special draft in 2016.
Meantime, Season 46 MVP Scottie Thompson, who is also part of Team Japeth is expected to be out as well, though the PBA has yet to name his replacement for the All-Star game.On the other Blackwater forward Christian David will be taking the spot of injured Rain or Shine big man Keith Datu for the Team Stalwarts, which will be playing under San Miguel coach Peter Martin.The 6-foot-7 Datu is out with an MCL sprain on his knee and is expected to miss action for the next six weeks.
