THE Philippine National Police on Monday intensified police visibility, a calibrated campaign to combat all forms of criminality. The intensification of the police visibility program was launched by Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla with the supervision of National Capital Region Police Office Director Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin. The programs' launching was held at the NCRPO headquarters in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.

The wide-scale deployment included 12,539 officers assigned to beat patrols, 2,944 on mobile patrols — comprising 1,993 personnel using motor vehicles, 931 using motorcycles, and 20 on bicycles — and 293 officers stationed at MRT/LRT train systems facilities. At least 629 personnel will be posted at checkpoints, 344 manned border control points, while 1,794 were assigned to fixed visibility posts and outposts, and 2,989 personnel were deployed under administrative patrol duties.
