The Philippine National Police on Monday said that they are looking into the report of alleged Chinese sleeper cells in the country.“With regards to these sleeper cells, there were some accomplishments our other law enforcement units, the National Bureau of Investigation have collected,” he said.

Nevertheless, the NCRPO chief said the police will still check on the operations of establishments to identify possible spies from foreign governments. “We strongly oppose and condemn such baseless allegations and malicious spreading of disinformation,” Chinese Ambassador Huang Xilian said.
