The PNP has recorded 40 public assemblies held after the elections, which saw the emergence of the tandem of former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio. | JEMendozaINQ

“We are glad that those assemblies or gatherings of supporters went smoothly without any major incident recorded,” Danao said.

Danao also thanked the organizers and participants “for adhering to our call for a peaceful gathering.” “The premise is to allow them to express their sentiments in consideration to the safety guidelines that were set,” he added. Former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. posted a commanding lead after garnering 31.1 million votes, while Robredo placed at the far second after getting 14.8 million votes.

Duterte-Carpio is also the runaway winner in the vice presidential derby after garnering 31.5 million votes, while Robredo’s running mate Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan got 9.2 million votes.
