THE Philippine National Police launched on Monday, March 14, 2022, the Anti-Illegal Drugs Operations through Reinforcement and Education in a bid to put policemen back on the streets to reach out to illegal drug victims following the easing of quarantine restrictions in the country.

“We will go back to the streets now that we are in a new normal, that the environment will allow us to reach out again to them, the victims of these illegal drugs,” he added. “The department hopes that through the launch of Oplan Double-Barrel Finale 2022 Adore, the Badacs would be strengthened to help eradicate drug dependency of Persons Who Use Drugs and help them recover from this condition,” he said.

PDEA said as of January 31, 24,303 out of the 42,045 total villages in the country are now considered drug-cleared, while 6,616 others were not affected by the problem or already considered drug-free.
