Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape says he is satisfied his country’s relationship with Australia is elevating to “higher heights”.

“Because from government to government, there has always been good changes, good understanding and if there was any time in which there needs to be a moment where we would be friends, well this is the time,” he said during a media conference on Thursday.

“We have now set in motion a series of activities that will take place between our officials and Australian officials, our ministers and Australian ministers.”
