KUALA LUMPUR: Four families affected by the plane crash along the Guthrie Corridor Expressway near Persiaran Elmina have yet to receive financial aid, says V Sivakumar.

The Human Resources Minister said the Social Security Organisation had reached out to the families but they were still in mourning and were not yet ready to cooperate."Socso will give them time... and whenever they are ready, we will give them the financial aid for which they are eligible," he told a press conference at Wisma Perkeso here on Tuesday .On Sunday , Sivakumar had said the families of seven victims of the crash qualified to receive Socso benefits.

The beneficiaries were entitled to death benefits of up to RM2,000 each and survivors’ pension payments, he said. Socso had so far made death benefit payments to the families of three victims who provided initial information while the payments to the families of the remaining four victims were pending.
