PETALING JAYA: Six families of the plane crash victims are eligible to receive benefits as per the Employees’ Social Security Act 1969 (Act 4), Human Resources Minister V. Sivakumar said.
Through the schemes provided in the Act, he said the families will receive the Funeral Management Benefit payment of up to RM2,000 and periodic survivor’s pension benefit payments.
“The remaining families of the victims have not been able to provide preliminary information because they are not ready. Sivakumar again reiterated the benefits of Socso contributions, especially for the surviving families when tragedies strike.
