Sa mga mahilig sa Japanese ramen pero mabigat sa bulsa, isang kainan sa Caloocan ang naghahain ng abot-kayang ramen na Pinoy na Pinoy ang lasa at nabanggit pa nga sa nobelang El Filibusterismo ni Dr. Jose Rizal.
Sa programang Pera Paraan , ikinuwento ng magkasintahang Ian Vincent at Merryl, may-ari ng kainan na EatKa Lang, na P12,000 ang kanilang ipinuhunan para maitayo ang kanilang negosyo.
Isa sa mga ibinibida nilang pagkain sa EatKa Lang ang kanilang Pinoy ramen na nagkakahalaga lang ng P65 hanggang P95 ang bawat order. Malayo ito sa presyo ng Japanese ramen na umaabot sa P300 ang bawat order. Ayon kay Ian, malapit sa puso niya ang Pinoy ramen dahil ang recipe nito ay mula sa kaniyang lola na madalas na lutuin para sa kanila na tinatawag na"pansit langlang," na nabanggit din sa nobela ni Rizal.
Wala umanong direktang dokumento na nagpapatunay kung bakit tinawag na"langlang" ang naturang pansit.
