Pia Wurtzbach showed her all-out support for her Binibining Pilipinas 2015 batchmate Christi McGarry, who is competing in Miss Universe Philippines 2024.
On Instagram, Pia posted photos of her and Christy through the years, from when they first competed in the local pageant to the present. She said that they “grew to be really good friends through the years.”“Christi was always proud and supportive of me,” Pia said. “When I was going for Miss Universe, not even for a single moment did I feel she didn’t want me to win or that she wished for me to fail."She added, “Christi worked hard and had big dreams too.
If Miss Universe were tomorrow, she’d be ready,” she added. “Our next Miss Universe might just be her.”Pia was crowned Miss Universe in 2015.Meanwhile, Christi was previously crowned Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2015 and finished first runner-up in Miss Intercontinental 2015.She is representing Taguig for Miss Universe Philippines 2024.The Miss Universe Philippines preliminaries gala night is happening on May 19, 7 p.m. at the Fiesta Pavilion, The Manila Hotel.
