Kota Kinabalu: The State Government is identifying suitable land to develop new industrial parks in Kimanis and Kota Marudu-Kota Belud and subsequently map out a master plan for its development.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor had first announced in July that Sabah would construct the two new parks as the other two existing parks – the Sipitang Oil and Gas Industrial Park and Kota Kinabalu Industrial park – are almost fully occupied. State Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe said the State Government is currently working with the Land and Survey Department on the matter.
