MANILA, Philippines — State seismologists on Tuesday said the Mayon Volcano has shown a continuous increase in terms of volcanic earthquakes for the past two days. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the Mayon Volcano logged 267 volcano earthquakes from 5:00 am on Monday to 5:00 am on Tuesday .— which was a sharp uptick from the recorded 39 tremors over the weekend.

Meanwhile, latest data from the state volcanologists indicated that there were 238 rockfall events and sulfur dioxide flux of 1,689 metric tons from the volcano.
