Major oil companies in the Philippines announce a price increase for gasoline, while diesel and kerosene prices see a second consecutive week of reductions. This latest adjustment reflects global energy market dynamics and geopolitical factors.
Several major oil companies in the Philippines announced price adjustment s for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene, marking the second consecutive week of reductions for diesel and kerosene. In separate advisories, Petron, Shell, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Seaoil, Total, Unioil, Jetti, PTT, and Phoenix indicated an increase of 70 centavos per liter for gasoline. Conversely, diesel prices will decrease by P1.15 per liter, and kerosene prices will drop by 90 centavos per liter.
This follows a price adjustment on January 28th, where oil companies implemented a decrease of P0.80 per liter for gasoline, P0.20 per liter for diesel, and P0.50 per liter for kerosene. This latest adjustment represents the fourth price change for the year 2025. Since the beginning of 2025, gasoline prices have seen a net increase of P2.65 per liter, diesel prices have risen by P4.80 per liter, and kerosene prices have increased by a total of P3.80 per liter. The fluctuating oil prices reflect the global energy market dynamics and geopolitical factors, which continue to influence fuel costs in the Philippines. The Philippine Department of Energy (DOE) closely monitors the oil market and works to ensure stable and affordable fuel prices for consumers. The DOE provides regular updates and advisories to the public regarding oil price trends and potential adjustments.
