Philippines receives 1M doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 5 to 11

The Philippines welcomed a total of 1,032,000 doses of reformulated Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children aged five to 11 on Saturday night.

The fresh batch of government-procured vaccine doses arrived past 8 p.m., according to the National Task Force Against COVID-19.

Prior to this shipment, the country had received 1,080,000 doses of government-procured Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for this age group on Friday night.in the National Capital Region on February 7. Data from the National Vaccination Operations Center showed the country had administered a total of 137,351,822 COVID-19 vaccine doses nationwide as of March 9.The Philippines started its vaccination program in March 2021. —
