The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday recorded 1,122 new COVID-19 cases even as the active tally went down to 18,864.
In the past two weeks, the National Capital Region registered the highest number of new infections with 3,525.It was followed by Calabarzon with 2,058; Western Visayas with 1,577; Central Luzon with 1,193; and Central Visayas with 1,114.
The death toll has risen to 64,468 with the addition of 10 new deaths.As of Friday, the national bed occupancy rate was 23.2%, with 6,583 occupied and 21,791 vacant beds.A total of 12,084 individuals were tested on Friday, while 334 testing laboratories submitted data. —
