The Department of Health on Monday recorded 2,001 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total nationwide tally to 3,940,201.
Based on the latest DOH bulletin, active COVID-19 cases in the Philippines increased to 37,082 from Sunday’s 35,999 — marking the fourth straight day the country has more than 30,000 active infections.Metro Manila remained the region with the highest number of new cases in the last 14 days with 13,861 infections. It was followed by Region IV-A with 5,138; Region III recorded 2,819; Region XI with 1,324; and Region VI with 810.
Bed occupancy in the country remains at low risk at 25.8%. It means of the 28,451 total hospital beds nationwide, 7,333 are occupied while 21,118 are vacant. A total of 11,706 individuals were tested for the virus on Sunday, September 25, while 313 testing laboratories submitted their results.
