The Armed Forces of the Philippines and Indian Armed Forces on Tuesday renewed their commitment to a robust defense collaboration.
Colonel Xerxes Trinidad, Chief of the AFP Public Affairs Office, stated that several topics were addressed during the 5th Joint Defense Cooperation Committee and 3rd Service-to-Service Meeting held at Camp Aguinaldo. At the meeting, representatives from both sides evaluated progress and achievements since their previous gathering, with maritime security and freedom of navigation highlighted as key areas of focus.
AFP said, these high-level discussions reaffirm the strong commitment between the two nations, building on the foundation established by the 2006 Defense Cooperation Agreement and the 2017 Memorandum of Understanding on Defense Industry and Logistics Cooperation.
