MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday inaugurated the country's first-ever Mobile Soil Laboratory in a bid to provide the agriculture sector with critical technology needed to achieve food security for the Philippines .In his speech in Malacañang, Marcos highlighted the procurement of the MSL as a historical landmark, emphasizing the critical role of the development agriculture sector.
Marcos said the MSL would serve as a 'knowledge hub' for farmers, equipping them with new technologies and methods to ensure that the soil was healthy enough to produce 'higher and more abundant yields.''Through this, our farmers will have the opportunity to train so that they can better understand the potential of their soil and other natural resources,' Marcos said.
