The Philippines has donated thousands of gloves, bonnets, and blankets to Palestinian refugees in Gaza to help them cope with the harsh winter conditions. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) spearheaded the initiative, sending 34 balikbayan boxes filled with essential items to Amman, Jordan, via the Jordanian Air Bridge Campaign.

The DFA hopes that more Philippine government agencies will participate in the Jordanian Air Bridge campaign's next round of deliveries to Gaza in the near future.Nepomuceno said the DFA initiated the efforts to donate to the refugees from the conflicts in Palestine. 'So, when they approached us, we immediately responded positively because we have to show our solidarity to people under such circumstances,' he said.
