Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi to strengthen ties between the two countries, celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations and committing to deepen their partnership in economic, trade, and sustainability efforts.

These included aiding in the arrest and extradition of a human trafficker to the Philippines and providing training for the Philippine National Police. Nearly 700,000 Filipinos live and work in the UAE, contributing significantly to its development, particularly in the fields of healthcare, construction, and service industries.
