The Philippine Red Cross has dispatched water tankers and relief items to various areas in Luzon such as Nueva Vizcaya and Subic where water shortage is expected during the"The water tankers we deploy come with water bladders which will enable us to supply water to more communities in need," said PRC chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard Gordon said in a statement issued May 27.

“We are closely monitoring the typhoon through our Operations Center as I want to know the swath of the typhoon and how devastating it can be so we can deliver the needs of the affected areas,” he added. The water tankers, with capacities of 10,000 to 12,000 liters, will deliver clean water to the affected communities.

Also, PRC assured that its Subic warehouse is prepared to distribute relief items, including tarpaulins that can serve as makeshift walls and roofs for partially damaged houses, CGI or roof sheets, sleeping kits with mosquito nets, hygiene kits, and food items to the affected communities in Northern Luzon.

Moreover, the PRC strategically prepositioned response efforts, including water tankers, food trucks, and payloaders in various areas across Visayas and Mindanao.
