The Philippines is only recording an average of 184 new Covid-19 cases each day. Despite this, the Department of Health urged the public not to let their guards down.
Sa National Capital Region naman po , 78 cases per day,” said DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire during a public briefing on Saturday, May 7.
Meanwhile, Vergeire said they have not detected new cases of Omicron sublineages based on the recent result of the genome sequencing.
Vergeire also reported that they already sent the samples of 15 tourists in Palawan, who tested positive for Covid-19, for genome sequencing to determine what type of coronavirus variant they contracted.
