Personnel of the Philippine Port Authority (PPA) involved in port operations were barred from going on leave for the long Lenten break next month in anticipation of the influx of passengers. | ManilaBulletin READ:

PPA General Manager Jay Daniel Santiago said the move is to ensure a sufficient number of port personnel that will attend to the needs of the passengers who are expected to go to their hometowns to take advantage of the long weekend.

“We are on heightened alert and we also issued a directive that all PPA personnel involved in operations are not allowed to go on leave during the Holy Week break,” said Santiago.
